Community Support Advocates offers free workshops through their Momentum program for artists impacted by disability, brain injury, or living with a mental health diagnosis.
If you have ever wondered how to make fancy handmade paper from home, please join us for an
afternoon of creating specialty papers from recycled paper, fabric, jeans, tissue paper, brown paper
bags, plant material, dried flowers, glitter and more. Your artistic papers are limited only by your
imagination. We will show a video demonstration and look at several finished products before we begin
choosing materials. We will provide all materials, but if you have a special paper, or fabric you would like
to use, please bring it with you. We will make time to build our own screen frame and deckle, which will
be yours to take home to make more paper!
But don’t forget to bring them back to the studio so we can admire your homemade paper creations! Sign up for the second class to discover more advanced paper making techniques.
