Paper Making Workshop (Intermediate & Basics)
August 17 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Community Support Advocates offers free workshops through their Momentum program for artists impacted by disability, brain injury, or living with a mental health diagnosis.
Come for a second studio workshop to continue experimenting on making beautiful papers!
Even if you did not attend the Basic workshop on August 10 th , 2018, you can still get the basics! If you
made a frame and deckle with the Basics workshop, bring your frame back and you can continue
creating or perhaps you can help the instructor demonstrate the process!!
You will learn how to make fancy handmade paper from home. Please join us for an afternoon
of creating specialty papers from recycled paper, fabric, jeans, tissue paper, brown paper bags, plant
material, dried flowers, glitter and more. Your artistic papers are limited only by your imagination. We
will show a video demonstration and look at several finished products before we begin choosing
materials. We will provide all materials, but if you have a special paper, or fabric you would like to use,
please bring it with you. We will make time to build our own screen frame and deckle, which will be
yours to take home to make more paper! But don’t forget to bring them back to the studio so we can
admire your homemade paper creations!
