With the community spread of COVID-19, Community Support Advocates closed our office to visitors and guests through April 30th, 2020, and we have moved all of our employees to remote working. We have also closed our Momentum Art studio and programming through April 30th, 2020. Our number one priority is the protection of our members, our staff, and our community.
The Momentum Art Program is acting with an abundance of caution to prevent the transmission of illness and will be canceling open studio and workshops until further notice. Due to the close and shared environment in the studio, we are unable to maintain social distance between participants and don’t want to expose artists with complex medical conditions to health risks unnecessarily. Please contact Momentum@TeamCSA.org with questions.
If you are an artist or small arts business impacted by COVID-19 professionally, please see our resource page with links to grants and other resources HERE.
CSA believes in the transformative power of art. Art is a tool that can build confidence, inspire hope, and develop resilience.
Often individuals with disabilities see art as inaccessible to them due to a lack of money for art supplies, knowledge or confidence, or the lack of a safe space to create. Momentum provides free art opportunities to underserved populations that include an annual juried art competition and exhibition as well as art workshops offered throughout the year. Momentum continues to grow, and we are now offering studio space and mentorship programs. Get inspired with CSA’s Momentum Art Program.
