If you are a Central Iowa artist impacted by a disability or mental health, you are invited to participate in Momentum: Works of Growth and Recovery! Our annual exhibition features art by artists impacted by disabilities. A local guest juror will judge the competition, and artists selected by the juror will have their work featured in the exhibition. Our Juror for 2021 is Beau Kenyon.
Save the date for October 1st, 2021. This year our Exhibition, presented by Heartland Millwrights and Wright Tree Service, will be held at Mainframe Studios from 5-8pm with a special artist only preview from 3-5pm. We will also have a Virtual Exhibition, presented by Mainstream Living, open the month of October.
How to submit art to the competition:
Submissions are accepted by online application between August 1, 2021, and closes September 3, 2021.
Photographing your art:
Before completing the application, take quality photos of your art and save them to your phone or computer to upload into your online application. Additionally, we have links for you to use as resources to understand how to photograph your artwork at home. The Momentum Studio will be open on select days during the submission time to assist with photographing your art.
