If you are a Central Iowa artist who identifies as having a disability, mental health issue, or brain injury, you are invited to participate in Momentum: Works of Growth and Recovery! Our annual art competition features art by artists living with disabilities. A local guest juror judges the competition. Artists selected as winners will have their work featured in a one-night exhibition. See our Exhibition page for art show details.
How to submit art to the competition:
Submissions are accepted by online application from August 1st, 2020 through September 18th, 2020. The application is located at the bottom of this page and all details can be found in this Art Show Packet. This packet has all the information that you need to submit your art into the show.
Photographing your art:
Before completing the application, take quality photos of your art and save them to your phone or computer to upload into your online application. Additionally, we have links for you to use as resources to understand how to photograph your artwork at home. The Momentum Studio will be open on select days during the submission time to assist with photographing your art.
