Competition

*** Competition applications are no longer being accepted for the 2020 show. Details for the 2021 show will be posted here in the spring or summer of 2021. ***

If you are a Central Iowa artist impacted by a disability or mental health, you are invited to participate in Momentum: Works of Growth and Recovery! Our annual exhibition features art by artists impacted by disabilities. A local guest juror will judge the competition, and artists selected by the juror will have their work featured in the exhibition.

While we don’t have exhibition details as we typically do because of COVID-19, we ask that you save the date for October 1st, 2020. For the exhibition this year we will incorporate a virtual presence and hope to hold a special night for artists and supporters if possible. Exhibition updates will be posted as they become available at teamcsa.org.

How to submit art to the competition:

Submissions are accepted by online application between JULY 1, 2020, and closes AUGUST 31. The application is located at the bottom of this page and all details can be found in this Art Show Packet. This packet has all the information that you need to submit your art into the show.

Photographing your art:

Before completing the application, take quality photos of your art and save them to your phone or computer to upload into your online application. Additionally, we have links for you to use as resources to understand how to photograph your artwork at home. The Momentum Studio will be open on select days during the submission time to assist with photographing your art.
