Are you looking for a way to make an impact?
Making a difference in the life of a Central Iowan with disabilities is easier than you think. Whether you’re an individual, small group, or corporate team, we’re glad to have your help! From one or two hours to a day or more, volunteers like you are always needed and greatly appreciated. You’ll have a variety of ways to volunteer and contribute your time.
Our biggest event each year is our annual art exhibition, Momentum: Works of Growth and Recovery This event featuring central Iowa artists with disabilities is all hands on deck. (link to sign up). We also promote artists through various solo and group exhibitions throughout the year, including First Friday events at Mainframe Studios.
2021: It will be held on October 1st from 5-8PM at Mainframe Studios. Throughout the building you’ll find art exhibitions, music, food, games, and hands-on art activities free to the community. Come celebrate and enjoy the work of local artists with mental health or disabilities. Sign up today to help with this event.
Community Outreach Events:
You’ll find us at the Des Moines Art Festival each year, various events at Mainframe Studios, and and local farmers markets and art fairs.. Wherever we can share our mission and the importance of what we give the community, we want to be there and are able to thanks to volunteers.
We also host fundraisers and partner with other organizations on occasion that we ask for help staffing as well.
