CALL TO ARTISTS: 15th annual Exhibition of Growth & Recovery!

Community Support Advocates is celebrating 15 years of presenting the (MOMENTUM): Works of Growth & Recovery art exhibition. Our one night only exhibition attracts hundreds of visitors and art enthusiasts in the community. Whether you are receiving traditional services or not, we invite Iowa artists to submit their work to be considered for the exhibition.

Entry Requirements: Original work by Iowa artists who identify as having a disability, brain injury, or mental health diagnosis.
REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Artwork must be ready for the exhibition using a hanging wire.
  2. 3-Dimensional art must be easily handled by 1 person and should not exceed 2x3x3 and cannot be a site-specific installation.
  3. Any work previously accepted & shown in a past Momentum exhibit is not eligible for re-entry.
    Timeline: August 1 – September 20
    Selection Process: Our 2019 guest juror will be reviewing artwork and art inspiration statement on a slide show to make selections.
    Notification to artist: September 23-27 will be contacted about the judge’s selection
    Delivery: October 7-9th. Selected entries must be dropped off at the Momentum Studio between 9am-5pm. The studio is located inside Mainframe Studios at 900 Keo Way, Studio 104, Des Moines. Art MUST be ready to hang with a hanging wire and frame if necessary.

    Pickup Artwork by: October 12 any artwork not sold or taken home at the end of the exhibit must be picked up from the studio between 9-4pm. Work not picked up is subject to a storage fee.
