Kim Hagen
Director of Clinical Services
EMAILI see my role as a therapist to meet clients where they are and help them achieve their goals. I use strength-based and empowerment approaches with a mix of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I am also a certified expert in the Collaborative Problem Solving approach. I work with clients with a wide array of diagnoses and problems including but not limited to those with depression, anxiety, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Schizophrenia, Personality Disorders, and Bipolar Disorder. I see clients ages five and up. I have experience working in schools and treating childhood disorders including Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), Autistic Spectrum Disorder, and other behavioral issues.
I have always considered myself a “cat person” and I have three rescue cats in my family. I recently welcomed a Bernese Mountain Dog named Journey who makes me think I am really a “cat/dog person.” I’m training Journey to be a therapy dog because he is so friendly and gives the best doggie hugs. I’m an unapologetic “Dance Mom” and spend a lot of my free time watching my children perform. I also like to clean (to get my “dopamine fix”) and watch true crime documentaries.
