volunteer opportunities
Every First Friday of the month. Two-hour shifts available at 4:30 p.m. or 6:30 p.m.
Team CSA’s Momentum Arts offers a free hands-on art activity in their space during First Friday Open Studio at Mainframe Studios. Each activity is different and requires minimal artistic skill. Assist guests in using supplies, guide them through the activity, if necessary, and help pick up. Volunteers make all the difference!
works of growth and recovery annual exhibition
We’d love your help with our biggest event of the year! “Momentum: Works of Growth and Recovery” is a juried exhibition featuring Central Iowa artists with mental illnesses and disabilities. It happens the first Friday of October throughout Mainframe Studios and demonstrates the power of art to heal, connect, and inspire. The exhibition’s accessibility aspects include American Sign Language welcome video, braille programs, audio descriptions of artworks, and a virtual tour. There are a variety of volunteer opportunities such as assisting with exhibition preparations, selling T-shirts, distributing programs, soliciting donations and more.
